ULTHERAPY
“Ultherapy is designed to lift and tighten areas on the face, neck and décolletage.”
What is Ultherapy?
Ultherapy is a minimally-invasive cosmetic procedure that uses focused ultrasound energy to lift and tighten the skin. It is primarily used for facial rejuvenation, targeting areas such as the neck, chin, eyebrows, and décolletage. FAQs

Ultherapy is generally considered a safe procedure with low risks, but it's important to be aware of potential side effects. These can include mild discomfort and a sensation of heat during the treatment, which can be managed with numbing creams or pain medications. Temporary side effects like redness, swelling, tingling, or tenderness are common and usually resolve within a few hours or days. Rare adverse events such as burns, blistering, scarring, or nerve injury can occur.

Before receiving any Ultherapy treatments at Allure Women's Healthcare clinic, a comprehensive consultation with one of our Registered Nurses is an essential step. During this consultation, you will have the opportunity to openly discuss your concerns and desired outcomes with your practitioner.
Based on your individual needs, your practitioner will develop a personalised treatment plan and guide you through the entire process. They will explain how the treatment works, the potential benefits, associated costs, and any possible risks or complications. Additionally, they will provide you with post-treatment instructions.

To ensure optimal healing and maximize the results of your Ultherapy treatment, it is crucial to adhere to the recommended post-care instructions. Here are some general guidelines:
Be gentle when cleansing the treated area immediately after the procedure. Use a mild cleanser and lukewarm water, avoiding vigorous scrubbing. Pat the skin dry with a soft towel.
Keep your skin hydrated by applying a gentle and non-irritating moisturiser. This helps alleviate any dryness or flakiness that may occur post-treatment.
Shield the treated area from direct sunlight. Wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher, and consider covering the area with clothing or a wide-brimmed hat when outdoors. Sun exposure can impede the healing process and impact the results.
Refrain from using harsh skincare products, such as exfoliants, retinoids, or acids, for a few days after Ultherapy. These products may cause skin irritation and hinder the healing process.
Minimise exposure to excessive heat sources, such as hot showers, saunas, or steam rooms, for at least a week following the procedure. Heat can intensify discomfort and potentially disrupt the healing process.
Stay well-hydrated by drinking an ample amount of water. This supports the healing process and overall skin health.
Follow the specific post-care instructions provided by your healthcare professional.

After undergoing Ultherapy, you may start to see some initial improvements immediately following the treatment. However, the full results of Ultherapy become more noticeable over time as collagen production is stimulated and the skin gradually tightens and lifts. The timeline for seeing significant results can vary among individuals, but generally best results are seen 3-6 months post Ultherapy.
